Colossians 3:23-24 NIV

23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, 24 since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.

1.    To do continuous, hard, exhausting work, including putting forth special or heroic efforts is not a bad thing, especially if it is directed toward a meaningful purpose or result.

a.     Unless that work & effort are motivated (even if for a short time) from feelings of discontent or envy regarding someone else’s success or possessions

b.     Quitting and not working, or just letting others “do it for you” is just as bad

c.     Working alone for a little is better, but not the best

2.    Godly Teamwork (working together without envy) toward a selfless goal & higher purpose, leads to mutual support, cooperation, and satisfying work in life.

a.     Stop pulling against

                          i.     Each other

ii.     God: Father, Son, & Holy Spirit

b.    Start pulling with each other toward the same selfless goal & higher purpose
