Our Conference Exist to Help Local Churches |
Hey South Georgia Global Methodist, The South Georgia Annual Conference exists to help local churches!. That is the whole point of the Annual Conference and we do it in 4 important ways:
One of the key ways we help churches have great clergy leadership is through our new clergy appointment process. This process is designed to foster longer appointments by better equipping and supporting both pastors and congregations as they serve their communities. I hope your pastor and PPR chair will join us for an important meeting on this topic this Sunday, February 16th, at 4:30 – 5:30p.m. In fact, the entire PPR committee is welcome to attend. Some pastors and committee members are even gathering at their churches to watch together. This will be a valuable opportunity to learn more about the process and how it can benefit your church. I look forward to seeing you there! Simply Seeking Him, |

Conference Superintendent Rev. Jay Hanson led the training throughout the day, providing insight into effective leadership and the vision for the conference. In addition, the elders heard from key leaders on essential aspects of their work: Michelle Martin covered administrative practices, Rev. Jason Dickerson discussed the role of the Board of Ordained Ministry, Karen Forrester highlighted the significance of the laity, and Rev. Dr. Anthony McPhail explained the appointment process. The retreat equipped the presiding elders with valuable knowledge and strengthened their leadership for the year ahead. |
